Freya's newborn session

Freya’s Newborn photography session took take at the parents home. As this was a home session I have to be prepared with what I should take with me. I always ask the parents which colours they prefer and get them to choose two props that I will bring with me. I charge extra for home sessions and you must have some good space with some available natural light. When I photograph a newborn home session I alway get creative with my props and get some beautiful photos 🙂

For freya’s newborn session her parents asked for purples, blues and greens, I love all of these colours on little girls! Especially light blues as I don’t get to use them much on girls. I started with purples and wrapped her up so she was all nice and cosy, she was the perfect little model and once she was settled I started off with posing her on her back on my bean bag, I used a selection of different hair bands and hats through out the shoot.

When should I book my newborn session?

You should book in your newborn photography session while you are pregnant to guarantee a space
Newborn baby photography should take place when your little one is 5-14 days old
We would pencil in a date and once your little one is born, you would then let me know within 48 hours and we would confirm the date.
