Natural newborn photography in London & Kent

Natural newborn photography is one of the most popular styles of newborn photography. There are a lot of different styles out there, some photographers use lots of colours and props and other photographers use the minimal amount of props purely focusing on the baby. During my newborn sessions i mainly use neutral colours, natural poses and a few simple bamboo natural props. I find that a lot of parents want a mixture of photos with and without props so i always have that option available if it's wanted. Not all parents will want to use props, this session with Callie was purely natural and white/cream with no props and it was an absolutely beautiful session 😊

Callies parent's didn't want to be in any of the photos for this session which i completely understand, parents don't always feel up to having their photos taken. If this is the case i will always include some photographs with the parents hands around the baby, this way we can still include the parents, showing how small their baby once was in their hands!

Every newborn session is different as not every baby will like to be posed in the same way and some babies will be feeding a lot more that others. All of my newborn sessions are led by your baby and making sure they are comfortable. No session is rushed and we will take our time and make sure we get all of the beautiful newborn photos you wish for.

• I usually start with wrapped newborn photos as if your baby is not sleepy yet or unsettled, this will help them feel warm, cosy and secure.
• Close up and full length photos when wrapped at different angles from the front and above.
• Once your baby is into a deeper sleep i can unwrap and do some different poses
• Parents hands around the baby and then photos of the parents hands holding their babies feet
• Photographing close ups of babies, hands, feet and lips
• At the end of the session is when i will do the family photos if you would like to include them.
