What to expect from a Maternity session

When should I book in my Maternity session?
Its best to book in your Maternity photoshoot for when you are at about 30-32 weeks. At this time usually your belly will be nice and round but you won’t be too big that you feel uncomfortable. Everyone is different though and experiences pregnancy differently. My maternity sessions are relaxed and friendly, my goal is to make you feel at ease and to produce for you some beautiful images that you will love and cherish forever.
Where will my Maternity session take place?
My photography sessions can take place either at my studio or a location such as a park. Living in England you will know that the weather doesn’t always allow to enjoy the lovely sunshine outside! but when its possible I love photographing a Maternity session outside, the background can be so beautiful!
How long does it last?
A Maternity session usually lasts 1 hour, I find this is long enough when photographing pregnant women as you probably don’t want to be moving around loads and it can get quite tired.
Do you have dresses that I can wear?
I have several Maternity dresses that you can choose from. Some people know exactly what they want to wear and wear there own dresses but if you would like to see which dresses I have a can email you over some photos. Most of my dress are mediums as i find they are very stretchy and in general fit small – large.
What should I bring/wear to my Maternity session?
When preparing to come to your Maternity session its best to wear nude underwear and also have a strapless bra depending on what dress are wanting to wear. You can also bring with you your pregnancy scan or any little things you would like in the photos.
When will I get to see my edited images?
The Maternity photos will be ready to view 2 weeks after your session. We will book you in a date to come and look at your photos at my studio and then you can choose which package you would like and we can discuss any questions you may have.
Can my husband be in the photos with me for my maternity session?
Yes of course, I love including your loved ones in the photoshoot with you! We can also include your other children if you wish.
Do you have any offers for Maternity and Newborn sessions together?
I offer 10% off your Newborn package (excluding package 1) if you have already had a Maternity shoot with me.
