Newborn baby photography in London
The year 2020……. now we are all going to remember this year and it will go down in history! Everything was put on hold and I was so sad that for a while I was unable to go ahead with any Maternity, baby & newborn photography sessions. Nothing could have been predicted that Corona Virus was going to take over the whole world in 2020. With that being said I am so happy I was still able to create so many beautiful photos for so many lovely families. As with everyone we had to take things day by day and hope that things would get better. I tried to keep busy posting lots of maternity & newborn photos and writing lots of blogs. I was hoping that I would be able to start photographing newborn sessions soon, as well as Maternity, baby & cake smash session, I missed all of these so much.
Photographing newborns in 2020
Newborn photography is captured usually in the first 2 weeks of their birth but with all non essential businesses having to close this wasn’t possible. A lot of my sessions were delayed but this didn’t make a difference to how adorable and cute their photos were. Some of my sessions were moved to sitter or cake smash sessions as well. Once the first lockdown was over I was able to start photographing newborns again. I had to make my sure that everything was safe in my studio and for my clients coming in. New precautions such as a face mask and gloves worn during sessions as well as constantly using hand sanitiser. My studio is always thoroughly cleaned in-between sessions and everything used during a newborn baby photoshoot is washed afterwards.
The best of 2020
Looking back over my photography sessions for 2020 I’m so lucky that so many people put their trust in me to be their Maternity and newborn photographer. I loved every session and am so grateful to all my lovely clients. The world has changed and now we are in Lockdown 3.0 and it feels like we are back to square one but there is now a vaccine. I am so looking forward to a transition back to normality or the new normality whatever that may be!
