Newborn lifestyle session

I offer home newborn sessions for families that feel more comfortable having the session in their own home. If you would like me to bring props I can or for the more natural feel it can also be a lifestyle newborn session without props. I love both types of newborn photography, its all depending on what the parents want the photos to be like. This session was a lifestyle home newborn session in their beautiful home. The parents had an idea of what they wanted the photos to look like, which is always great. We started off taking some photos on their bed in the bedroom. There was some great natural light throughout the house which is what you need for a home session. I do have my on camera flash but I love working with natural light for home newborn sessions.

How to prepare for your sesssion

Feed your baby before I get there for your newborn session. we can always have little breaks for feeding in between
Make sure you have decided the outfits you would like your little one in. It can always be changed but its good to have them in your preferred outfit when i get there
Have you got any toys or keepsakes you want in the baby photos? Get these ready so we don’t forget to use them
Think about where in your house you would like to be photographed. I will assess the lighting and rooms when i get there but its always good if you have your favourite spots as well.
