I had the amazing privilege to attend one of Ana Brandts & Aoife Milleas Newborn and Maternity photography workshops in London last Summer. I have been so busy i am only getting round to write this blog now, i should have done it ages ago. If you haven’t heard of Ana Brandt before, she is one of the worlds most famous Newborn and Maternity photographers and the first ever newborn photographer i started to follow when i decided to get into newborn photography. When i saw she was coming to London, i just had to get a space on her workshop and booked straight away. I felt so grateful to be there and to get an insight into her work and it was wonderful that she was sharing all of her knowledge and experience with us! If anyone is interested this is her website here – https://www.anabrandt.com/
Aoife Millea is also a Newborn photographer but her style is very different to Ana Brandts which is why it was great to have them both teaching on the Newborn and maternity workshop. Aoife is an amazing artist, she draws backgrounds and photographs different objects that she can imagine newborns to be placed in but it wouldn’t be possible in the real world. Most of her Newborn images are composites where the baby is photographed with a specific background in mind, so that the lighting and position of the baby are correct to be photoshopped into a chosen image later. You can see her work here – https://www.facebook.com/Cleare-Photography
We had two beautiful babies in as models and two stunning expecting mums, heres some behind the scenes from the day

The images below are some of the first images i took in the workshop, this little boy was so cute and sleepy, he was perfect!

Below you can see some behind the scenes of these two set ups, you must always have a spotter near by and watching the baby.

After the Newborns we then moved onto the Maternity photography to photograph the beautiful mummas! Heres some of behind the scenes

Followed by the edited images below

Thanks again Ana and Aoife for an amazing workshop and sharing your skills and talent!
