Maeve’s newborn session was photographed at her home as this worked better for the parents. I photographed Maeve’s big brother as a newborn so it was lovely to go back and photograph his beautiful little sister. They were so similar as newborns it was so cute! It’s such a privilege when parents hire me back and photograph their second or third child.
When should I book my newborn photography?
When looking for a newborn photoshoot in London, there’s a lot of photographers out there! Find someone who’s Newborn photos you love and feel comfortable with. A lot of mums don’t realise that you should book in your newborn photography session while you are pregnant. This will guarantee your photographer can fit you in as we do get booked up quite quickly. It’s best for your newborn to be photographed between 5 -14 days old. This is when they love being wrapped up and all cosy so we can achieve those cute poses. After this time most newborns are more aware and like stretching out a lot and may be more awake. When I book you in for your newborn session, we will book you in noting your due date and then you would let me know within 48 hours of giving birth, we will then set you a date to have your newborn session. I only book a certain amount of newborn sessions a month to allow for early and late babies!
