Cake smash photography sessions are so much fun! They are best when your little one is 1 years old as they are not running around yet but might be able to just about stand. These session can be done at 2 years as well but I do find they are a bit harder as this age as the child wants to run around more.
Whats included in the cake smash package price?
You will pay a deposit and then the deposit will come off the package you choose to purchase. (All prices are on my website) and all decorations are included in the price! You just need to bring the cake. When photographing a cake smash session I have a few outfits that you can use otherwise you should just bring your little one in the outfit you would like them in.
Can I choose any colour scheme?
When you book you will need to fill out a booking form , this will give you colour options to pick from. I can also take requests and try and do my best for the scene to look a certain way if you have a theme in mind.
How long does a Cake smash session last?
It lasts up to an hour, the sessions don’t tend to go over this as your little one can get fed up and a bit agitated. I start off taking some photos with the cake and then bring the cake in. Its good to have a mixture of photos for you to choose from!
When will I see my edited photos?
Two weeks after your cake smash session we will schedule you to come back in and see your edited gallery. This is when you choose which package you would like to purchase. The package is paid for on the day and then you will receive your order in the next 10 days.
Where do cake smash photos take place?
They take place at my studio in Hackney Wick. I can be flexible with timings for these sessions and work around their nap times with you.
As you can see for you its quite simple and most of the planning is my end, although i would recommend bringing a change of clothes and wet wipes as it can get messy and not only for your little one 🙂
