What to expect from a Maternity photoshoot on Location

I offer Maternity sessions either at my studio or at an outside location, such as a park. I love both types of sessions as they both give different styles depending on what you are looking for. This blog is all about my Maternity photoshoots on Location!

Capturing the stages of your pregnancy is such an important thing and you have so many memories along the way. A maternity session is a way to capture this stage and you can include things in the photos that have been significant to your during your pregnancy!

What should I wear at my Location Maternity session?

A nice long flowing dress is always a good choice for showing your bump, this type of dress tends to cling to your bump more but shorter dresses can also look really cute too! For Maternity session outside in the nature, I actually think that most colours go well as you will stand out from the nature and flowers around you. If your partner is going to be in the photos with you, try to wear similar colours. I also suggest not to wear something with too many patterns on as this can be quite distracting.

What should I bring to my Maternity session?

Its personal to you on what you would like to bring to your session everyone is different. Here’s a few suggestions on what some people bring.

• Your baby scan – This is a lovely memory to have in your Maternity photos
• Baby book – You may have a book that you like to read to your unborn child for them to get to know your voice before they are born.
• Little baby shoes – Little baby shoes that you may have been given as a present or bought yourself. These always look cute rested on your belly!

Can I change my outfit?

Location Maternity sessions tend you be photographed with one dress depending on if there is somewhere for you to change near by. If there are toilets or somewhere for you to change near by, we can definitely do two dresses.

Can I choose the location for my Maternity session?

Yes you can, its nice for the Location to have some special memories for you but I can also suggest some Locations If you haven’t got a place in mind.

What happens after my Maternity photoshoot?

Two weeks after your photoshoot you will be able to come back and view the edited images. This is when you can select the package you would like to purchase. Once you have chosen your package I will do a final edit to check everything is perfect before you receive them!
