When is the best time for Maternity photos?

Pregnancy is one of those moments you will only experience once or a fews times in your life. It can be scary, especially if it’s your first baby you may be overwhelmed thinking about the changes ahead. Your body is going through changes and it is beautiful! You may feel self conscious about having a maternity photoshoot, showing off your bump but this is something you are doing for you to remember this time, growing a little baby inside you is a miraculous thing and should be celebrated. If you feel self conscious, you can include your partner and other children in your pregnancy photoshoot. This is a great way to get some couple or family photos as well, embrace the whole experience. I absolutely adore all of my Maternity photoshoots and will make you feel relaxed and at ease, so don’t worry 🙂

Photographing your Maternity session

So now we get to it, when is the best time for Maternity photos? I would say 30-34 weeks. At this stage during your pregnancy you will have a lovely round bump which is beautiful in photos. You don’t want to leave Your maternity photos too late during your pregnancy just incase you feel a bit uncomfortable. Every mother is different though and you may feel you get bigger earlier and want to have your pregnancy photoshoot a few weeks earlier, it’s totally up to you! Your Maternity photoshoot can take place either at my North London studio or out on location. Which ever you choose is best for you, I will create some beautiful maternity photos for you!
